Staicele is a small town in Limbaži municipality near Salacgrīva, situated on the bank of the Salaca river. The area is characterised by agricultural life, forests and quiet roads, but here too — as throughout rural Latvia — personal transport is a practical necessity for every working and active resident.
There are no specialist local training options in Staicele — students typically use a school in Salacgrīva or Limbaži, or combine online theory with driving lessons from an instructor who covers this region from the nearest town.
Rural road driving skills are particularly important in this area — road quality can be variable, roads can become slippery in winter, and visibility may be restricted by forests and terrain. This is valuable practice, but urban driving experience in a nearby larger town must also be gained before the examination.
The CSDD examination is taken in Limbaži or Valmiera.
